If your child has shown any interest in sewing, then you are taking the correct steps to motivate and encourage your child’s passion. Please don’t be surprised, but YES, KIDS CAN SEW! The SEW AND GROW programme has taught over 600 kids, and will be glad to have your kids join us. This exciting course for kids is aimed at children who have little to no experience in sewing or using a sewing machine. We will equip your child with the skills and language of essential sewing to enable you to read and follow simple steps and to understand and complete a project. This course gives your child a strong foundation in sewing therefore they will be able to proudly sew their own garments, gifts, and projects.

How to thread and operate a sewing machine. How to do straight stitching, zig zag, back tacks, pivots, seams, hems and top-stitching. The placing, pinning and cutting of pattern pieces onto fabric using grainlines and selvedges. How to thread a cord and elastic through casings. How to sew around a slit and topstitch an oxford edge. How to sew on Patch pockets and Velcro. How to use the various interesting features on the sewing machine.

COST OF KIDS COURSE 1: R3,500
The cost of course is inclusive of enrollment, patterns in all sizes, instruction books, vytrace, thread, binding, piping, cord, buttons elastics, ring binders, plastic sleeves, labels and much more. EXCLUSIVE OF FABRICS. The duration of the course is 7 classes. Each class is 3 hours long. Enrollment can be done at any time during the year as each student learns individually.
